At Speak First, we believe we can enhance people’s lives by increasing their confidence and helping them be the best they can. That’s why Amanda got involved with the business and it’s what motivates us all. We pride ourselves on encouraging positive interaction between people which brings about win-win outcomes.
Our values convey the care we give to everything we do and everyone we come in to contact with: our clients, our staff, the environment. As a business, we also support a charity that helps develop young people and communities around the world.
Speak First supporting charity Plan
Plan is a child-centred community development organisation, enabling families and communities in the poorest countries to make lasting improvements to the lives of their children. Plan works with children, their parents, and their community, to plan practical ways to provide many of the things we take for granted. Together they build schools, drill wells, get nurses trained and help families to better support themselves. All this work gives children a better opportunity to reach their full potential and in turn change their world for the better.
At Speak First, we support Plan by sponsoring a child. We also work with the people at Plan to develop their communication skills with pro bono training.

Speak First environmental policy
We make every effort at Speak First to ensure we comply with the requirements of environmental legislation and approved codes of practice. We have assessed the environmental impact of our current operation and anticipate the likely impact in the future. We are committed to continuously seeking to improve our environmental performance in the following ways:
- Reduce waste and recycle wherever possible
- Reduce the use of all raw materials, energy and supplies
- Raise awareness, encourage participation and train employees in environmental matters
- Expect similar environmental standards from our suppliers
- Encourage clients to use our products and services in an environmentally-sensitive way
- Participate in discussions about environmental issues
We monitor our progress and review our environmental performance on a regular basis (usually annually). |
