Approach to training in the USAWhen we talk to American clients, or companies with branches in North America, interesting issues are raised – not least the difference between European and American training styles.
We’ve found the accepted approach in the USA is classroom style, with many students. The approach is sometimes more didactic, with less interaction, practice and feedback. Larger group sizes are also more the norm.
At Speak First, we believe that learning is more engaging, memorable and transferable when participants participate, rather than just listening. We’ll always recommend this style of training and it’s what we do best. We like to use more of a coaching style in our training to ensure each person receives individual and tailored attention.
