Jo is a trainer and coach, specialising in Leadership and Management skills, Sales and Business Development, Impact and Influence, Communication Skills and Personal Effectiveness.
She is a qualified coach and works with individuals and teams to increase their performance through inclusiveness, personal accountability and collaboration She has been designing and delivering impactful learning solutions for over 10 years and is comfortable working with established Executives and those at the very starts of their careers.
Her facilitation style is inclusive and honest. Her learning sessions are stretching, interactive, based in the real world and practical. She supports senior teams to have better conversations, be honest with each other, focus on what they can do more of to achieve their strategic objectives. She might introduce a framework to help focus the conversation and she will always give honest feedback based on what she is seeing.
Jo works with Managers in a variety of industries including Sales, Financial Services, FS regulation, Government and Professional Services. The focus of her work with Managers is often to support them in moving away from tasks and towards being a people leader: empowering their team to perform at their best, creating an inclusive environment, being honest in their communication and feedback. She has created cultural awareness workshops for ex-pat Managers in multi-cultural environments and has designed solutions for global organisations including in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the US.
Jo keeps herself current through research. She will take the time to understand the learning culture of the organisation and work with them to introduce relevant frameworks, skills and behaviours that will enable them to perform at their best. She will talk with clients to get a real sense of the changes a client wants to see in their employees.
Before Jo became a coach and facilitator of learning, she had a 25-year career in Financial Services and Financial Services Regulation. She has worked as business analyst, a project and programme manager as well as management roles in internal marketing, corporate communications and organisational development. She has been a leader of teams and her most recent role was as Director of Coaching for a global training organisation. During her time in organisational development, she created and implemented talent management strategies and processes, performance management systems and competency frameworks.
