In an increasingly competitive marketplace, a key determinant of an organisation’s success in winning new business is the quality of its written proposals. Yet, for people who are busy and need to meet tight deadlines to get proposals out, it’s all too easy to end up missing out on business that could easily have been won.
This practical proposal writing course will give your people techniques for planning, writing and editing successful proposals that are clear, relevant and persuasive. Participants work through a simple and effective 10-step process that enables them to create documents that are clear, concise, coherent, credible and compelling. There are practical small group and individual activities focused on structuring effectively, making sure they have a clear outcome in mind, delivering key messages powerfully without excessive detail, writing in short sentences, avoiding common mistakes with grammar and punctuation and being able to review, revise and proofread effectively.
They will learn to structure their ideas so they are as compelling as possible and learn how to begin with statements that give clients and prospects a clear sense of the value they can bring so they want to know more. Crucially, they will understand the right questions to ask the client to uncover the most important information, so the first draft is tailored specifically to their needs and not generic.
